PERU
MISSION

June 25
thru
July 7, 2009

The Mission: Our main work will be the continued building of the orphan village in Puerto Maldonado, on the eastern border of Peru and Bolivia. We will be working with the missionaries there, Italo & Rebecca Abuid. This village will be home to children from poor and desperate families that are in danger of the child trafficking that is occurring in that area. Our projects there will include building bunk beds, and constructing a chicken coop. We will also spend time with the Brethren congregation in Lima pastored by Luis Angel Morillas. We will also travel to Pucasana, an outreach ministry of the Lima Brethren Church. We will help with children's ministries, and visit a home for pastors in Lima. We will worship with the Lima Brethren, and share in communion with them. Our prayer is that we will encourage and support the missionaries and the work in Peru, that God will be glorified, and that His kingdom will increase because of us.
